Two Ways to Play
iPlay Phonics offers two game modes — Snakes and Ladders for board game fun, and Beat The Clock for voice recognition practice.
Choose Your Game Mode
Children choose between Snakes and Ladders (the classic board game format) or Beat The Clock (voice recognition speed challenge).
Pick Your Character
Four colourful characters to choose from — making the game feel personal and fun from the very start.
The Classic Board Game Format
Based on Snakes and Ladders — the challenge is to get to the top of the board and win!
Progressive Levels
14 levels to choose from, each directly linked to a particular phoneme or grapheme. Select the right level for your child's ability.
High Scores & Motivation
Each level tracks your high score — motivating children to play again and beat their personal best. The more they play, the more fluent they become.
The Game Board
The interactive Snakes and Ladders board with CVC words. Roll the dice, land on a square, and read the word aloud. Green squares move you forward, red squares move you back. The voice interactive technology listens and provides instant feedback on pronunciation.
Voice Recognition Challenge
The voice interactive technology ensures correct pronunciation of the written word, thus aiding fluency.
Beat The Clock — Voice Mode
Children see a word on screen and say it aloud. The microphone icon shows the system is listening. The voice interactive technology provides immediate feedback — correct pronunciation scores points, while the timer adds excitement. Skip Word and Report Word buttons give children control.
